Living in the UK versus USA Top 10 List

With America’s Independence Day celebrations rapidly approaching, The Moving Doctor is asking the question about the pros and cons of moving to or living in either England or the USA.
Here are his top 10 advantages of the UK and USA

British / American Flag - International Relationship

Top 10 pros for living in the UK
1.  All inclusive pricing, you pay the sticker price, no extra tax. Always easy to have the right money to pay for stuff!
2.  You can walk everywhere, wellies optional! Very novel and fit!
3.  Plane fares, you can fly around Europe for $50. Domestic Airfares are high in USA, pardon the pun.
4.  NHS, can’t beat it for medical coverage. I would rather pay over $1000 per month for a health insurance policy said no one ever in the USA
5.  Less violence, no guns, enough said!
6.  BBC, straight forward real worldwide news but may be not quite so good coverage on the Kardashians etc
7.  Countryside, everywhere, green, clean and quite often wet!
8.  Credit Card security and banking in general is far more advanced. No one would take your credit card from you when its time to pay you restaurant bill and checks are so last century!
9.  Harrods and Marks & Spencer, no equivalent!
10.  4-5 weeks’ vacation time per year. No contest !

Top 10 pros for living in the USA
1.  Gas, not the smelly kind but the cost of filling up your tank is half what you would pay in England.
2.  Cost of living, your money does go further here on most things!
3.  Cocktails, free poor, choice, ice in everything. Best place to drink!
4.  Road system, great for long distance travel, try driving for 4 hours in England and see how far you got!
5.  Steak, burgers & Ribs, nowhere does them better!
6.  Better customer service, tipping works!
7.  Recycling & trash. I just couldn’t live with 1 small bin being collected every other week!
8.  Patriotism, national anthem played at all major events, everyone proud of their country!
9.  Weather, Weather and Weather, its just 3 times better!
10.  Houses, they might not still be standing in 100 years but there is a lot to be said for a closet that’s bigger than an English bedroom!
11. Bagging, once bagged you can never go back! I’m talking having your supermarket purchases put in plastic or paper while you look at the gossip mags on the shelf!

Oh that makes 11 for USA, I guess that’s why I moved to America!
